100760 Avro CF-100 Canuck Mk. 5/P&WC JT15 engine flying testbed - Aviation royale canadienne-Royal Canadian Air Force, on loan to Pratt & Whitney Canada - Saint-Hubert, QC - Major Lloyd Hubbard and Doug Jermyn prior to a test flight. Prior to joining the P&WC Pilot Team, Major Hubbard was the last of three squadron leaders of the Golden Hawks Aerobatic Team. The rectangular hole in the radome was put there to allow cooling air to enter the radome where it was ducted over a bank of resistors that had replaced the radar disk. The resistors were used to absorb the output of the JT15D generator. The heated air exited through the small chute just forward of the nose wheel door.
