F/A-18 Hornets are in production at Northrop's facility in Hawthorne, California. The U.S. Navy has ordered 11 full-scale development Hornets and has said it plans to buy 1,366 operational units. Production aircraft will be delivered from Northrop's new 1.9 million square-foot facility in El Segundo, California (79-02159-2).
